The LRZ offers its competence in the planning of networks that are to be connected to the MWN later or for which the LRZ is to take over the operation. This is desired for a later support of the networks by the LRZ.
The LRZ cannot act as a planning office and is solely responsible for the planning, installation and realization of networks. However, it can contribute its expertise in cooperation with the commissioned planning offices. It makes sense to provide advice for users who will be closely linked to the MWN later on, or where the network will be managed by the LRZ in the future.
The assistance in planning includes:
- Development of a cabling structure (in cooperation with the commissioned planning office)
- Notes for the preparation and checking of the service specifications
- Checking the installation work
- Assistance of networks acceptance
- Proposal for active network components
- Proposal for connection to MWN or Internet
- Setting up the network concept with the user (VLANs, firewall)

- Set-up times: Consultation 2 weeks after receipt of a request and the necessary documents. Documents are e.g. building plans, they will be agreed upon when the order is placed.
