M365 Backup

Contrary to what you might think, data in the cloud is not immune to data loss. The truth is that your data in the cloud is exposed to the same risks as data stored on-premise in your organisation.

With the LRZ service M365 Backup, we offer organisations the opportunity to create a regular backup of Microsoft 365 data (OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams, Exchange Online) at the LRZ and to perform restores by selected users of the organisation in self-service.

Scope of Services and Service Specifics

  • Procurement of the necessary backup software licences via the LRZ's volume contingent
  • Setting up the backup in cooperation and coordination with the customer organisation
  • Professional operation of the entire backup infrastructure in the LRZ data centre
  • Carrying out and monitoring regular backups
  • Assumption of fault clearance as far as this falls within the responsibility of the LRZ
  • Regular reporting on data backups by email to the customer organisation
  • Provision of a web-based self-service restore portal for selected restore operators of the customer organisation
