With the LRZ service M365 Backup, we offer organisations the opportunity to create a regular backup of Microsoft 365 data (OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams, Exchange Online) at the LRZ and to perform restores by selected users of the organisation in self-service.
Scope of Services and Service Specifics
- Advice on analysing requirements
- Procurement of the necessary backup software licences via the LRZ's volume contingent
- Setting up the backup in cooperation and coordination with the customer organisation
- Professional operation of the entire backup infrastructure in the LRZ data centre
- Carrying out and monitoring regular backups
- Assumption of fault clearance as far as this falls within the responsibility of the LRZ
- Regular reporting on data backups by email to the customer organisation
- Provision of a web-based self-service restore portal for selected restore operators of the customer organisation
- Optional:
- Creation of a second copy of the backup data in a remote data centre of an LRZ partner
- Creation of a second copy on an S3 storage system provided by the customer (assuming compatibility and sufficient network connection)
