Service Option Extended WLAN Coverage

We offer the user-specific expansion of the WLAN supply if the free supply of the public areas with the standard SSIDs is not sufficient.

The LRZ procures and operates access points in non-public areas or for users who do not conform to the statutes. The APs remain the property of the LRZ. The APs broadcast all SSIDs, which also provide the access points in the public areas. Chair-specific SSIDs can also be configured on request. The technological development in the field of WLAN is very dynamic and new technical developments may require hardware replacement.Therefore the LRZ reserves the right to replace the AP after more than four years of operation or downtime at the customer's expense

The installation of a surface mount requires two free network ports (copper), which must be provided by the customer. The installation is carried out by employees of the LRZ or by the customer.

The installation is carried out within 8 weeks after order with existing network ports.
