LRZ Services – An Overview

We provide you with a wide range of IT services for research, teaching and science. From high-performance computing and storage systems and cloud and network services to IT security and consulting – you will find the right services for your requirements here. Always up-to-date

Find out about the current status of LRZ services at all times! Our status page doesn’t just show you information about outages, but also announcements about planned maintenance work. Stay informed – quickly and transparently.

You can easily request quotes for all LRZ services by contacting the service desk (by submitting a ticket) or via all common LRZ contact channels. Depending on the complexity and scope of your enquiry, the responsible service team will carry out an analysis which is then used to agree the specific scope of services with you. You will then be made a detailed offer in which all agreements are documented.

In cases where you do not require a separate offer confirmation, the ticket is deemed to be a legally valid and, where applicable, chargeable order for the service.

In the case of complex services or flat-rate contracts, you will usually place the order by returning the signed offer by e-mail. Please see the General Terms of Contract for further information about the order.

You have commissioned an LRZ service – the following will apply automatically:

  • The General Terms of Contract of the Leibniz Computing Centre - the Bavarian Academy of Science and Humanities
  • The respective Terms of Service
  • LRZ’s Order Processing Contract. Please inform the LRZ of the persons authorised to issue instructions by contacting the servicedesk at servicedesk.lrz.de.

Regulations at a glance: Our terms and conditions

The “Guidelines for Using Information Processing Systems at the Leibniz Computing Centre” regulate the conditions under which you can use our services. Among other things, the guidelines specify which persons and institutes are authorised to use our IT services and what their obligations are.
