Service Option ISAR Cloud Storage

With the Integrated Simple ARchive (ISAR), users of the Cloud Storage service can move data to an online archiving area of storage class standard. The data on ISAR Cloud Storage will be kept online for ten years and additionally secured in the archive and backup system of the LRZ. After the retention period of 10 years the data will be automatically deleted from the file system of the ISAR Cloud Storage. After that the data is available for another 10 years for a restore from the archive and backup system of the LRZ. On request, the data can also remain in the tape archive for longer than 10 years or archiving can be waived

Thus the ISAR Cloud Storage offers a comfortable, comparatively inexpensive possibility for the long-term storage of data, which are no longer actively used, but still have to be kept.

The service can only be used from a purchase quantity of 2 TiB upwards for at least 1 year. Up to 2 TiB, the booked, not the used memory is billed.

The service-specific guidelines for the use of the Munich science network (in German) and cloud storage must be observed.
