Testimony in the Digital Age
Join us for the event "On ethical aspects of combining technology and testimony"
Personal memories make history come alive: The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) invites you to meet a fascinating witness of the 20th on May 9, 2023, starting at 3 pm.
On May 9, Dr. Agnes Kaposi will be a guest at the LRZ. Born in Hungary in 1932, the engineer survived the Holocaust and is a Fellow of the UK's prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering. She recently wrote her memoirs and also answered questions about her extraordinary life for a digital testimony.
Together with Ms. Kaposi, computer scientist Johanna Pirker, the director of the Landeszentrale für Politische Bildungsarbeit Rupert Grübl and other guests, we will discuss the ethical aspects of digital testimonies, tracing the interactions between humans and machines, but also the limits of technology.
