| 14:50 | T. Fieseler: Registrierung von Ressourcen, Nutzern und VOs in der D-Grid Infrastruktur In dieser Präsentation wird eine Einführung in das User und Ressourcenmanagement im D-Grid gegeben. Die zentralen Dienste für die Registrierung und das Management von Grid Ressourcen und Benutzern sind der Grid Resource Registry Service GRRS und der Virtual Organisation Membership Service VOMRS. Momentan werden neue D-Grid Ressourcen statisch am GRRS Server registriert, neue Nutzer Registrieren am VOMRS Server der entsprechenden virtuellen Organisation. Das Management der User an den Grid Resourcen (beispielsweise die Abbildung von Zertifikat-DNs auf Unix Konten) wird von dgridmap unterstützt.

Pogoshyan: Multi-middleware Test Suites Within the framework of the German Grid Computing Initiative D-Grid we study develop and implement test and benchmarking suites that are used to collect the information from computational grids working with single or multiple middleware systems. Thi investigation is directed to discover the potential of existing prototypes of testing-monitoring systems to be used for D-Grid Operation Centers D-GOCs. An architectural concept for collecting data from multi-middleware test suits is proposed.

| 16:10 | Ely Wagner de Oliveira: Benchmarking Multi-platform Grid Environments The increasing variety of technologies available nowadays for building grid infrastructures has made grid environment administration even more complex and quality of service more difficult to be assured. In order to verifiably meet user requirements and become even more ubiquitous grids need to be evaluated and have their strengths weaknesses and characteristics identified so that they can evolve. Jawari is an extensible multi-platform free of charge and world wide available grid benchmarking and monitoring service that provides the grid community with support to assess and improve the quality of service delivered by grid-infrastructures. It makes possible the comparison of different environments relying on either similar or different technologies and the identification of performance bottlenecks and boosters. It also reveals how changes really impact the system and how quality of service evolves over time.
We intend to present improvements since the last workshop and also the recently developed monitoring module. |
