Call for workshop participation
The Czech-Bavarian Competence Team for Supercomputing Applications invites all interested researchers to a workshop on large-scale simulation of water-related hazard scenarios. Contributed presentations are welcome (for Jun 30) on all related topics, in particular on demands and desired features of (future) simulation software, parallelisation for current and novel HPC platforms, as well as establishing scalable simulation workflows on supercomputing environments. Simulation scenarios may include rain-induced floods, storm surges, tsunamis, and similar events. If you wish to give a presentation, please submit a title and short abstract (10-20 lines) via email to Prof. Michael Bader <bader@in.tum.de>.
The workshop is collocated with the PRACE PATC course (June 27-29, separate registration necessary) on Intel MIC Programming, at LRZ, see the course description on https://www.lrz.de/services/compute/courses/2016-06-27_hphi1s16/.
In particular, the two events will share a series on invited talks on June 29.

The detailed program can be found in the agenda in pdf format.
